Arthur R. Ulrich passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, in Houston, Texas, in the company of his children.
Born November 27, 1920, to Cecellia and Andrew Ulrich in McKeesport, Art graduated from McKeesport High in 1939. He enlisted in the Army Air Forces, serving from 1943 to 1945. His career continued in aviation as pilot and aircraft technician, retiring from Consol in 1985.
Art enjoyed traveling, RVing, camping and canoeing with his beloved wife Valnessa, who died in 1989. Gardening and bird-watching were favorite activities at his home in Peters Township since 1959.
Art is survived by children Mark (Kristi), Nancy (Russell) Josephs and Greg (Judy); grandchildren Chris, Molly, Tim, Sedona and Cailin; and brother James.
In keeping with his wishes, a simple graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
