Bill Weygandt Obituary

Bill H. "Pee-Wee" Weygandt, 93, of New Eagle, died Saturday, April 29, 2017, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
Born February 7, 1924, in New Eagle, he was a son of Earl and Leona Messinger Weygandt.
He retired after 30 years from U.S. Steel Clairton Works.
Mr. Weygandt served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He belonged to Monongahela American Legion Post 302 and was active member in Mon-Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
His hobby was building scale model steamboats; his boats were on display at the Marietta, Ohio, Steamboat Museum. He was also a member of Arroas Haymakers Club in New Eagle and 40 & 8.
Survivng are two daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and James DeChicchis and Kimberly Weygandt-Scialdone and Dr. Tony Scialdone; two grandsons, Earl and James DeChicchis Jr.; a granddaughter, Shelly Pelzer; a great-grandson, James DeChicchis III; two great-granddaughters, Kayla DeChicchis and Madison Vanderlee; and the Weygandt and Trumpie family relatives.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Margaret Trumpie Weygandt, who died January 22, 2009; a son, Earl Weygandt who died August 7, 2013; and two sisters, Laverne Volker and Carmen Houghton.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, with the Rev. Jeff Marton officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Mon-Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad. Interment will be private and held in Monongahela Cemetery.
