Cathy Lydic Obituary

Cathy Koch Lydic, 66, formerly of Peters Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 24, 2024, with her family by her side following a brief illness. Cathy was born January 9, 1958, in Whitehall, to the late Howard and Mary Lou Koch. She graduated high school and went on to The Duffs Business School. She was not only a homemaker, but loved working in real estate. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert "Bob" Lydic; her daughter, Sara (Michael) McKinney; son, Matthew "Matt" (Melissa) Lydic; and her beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Max McKinney, and Mason and Madison Lydic. Cathy is also survived by her sister, Carole (Thomas) Freed. Cathy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and would brag about them any chance she got. She cared deeply for her friends, whom she had decades long relationships with. She would do anything for the people she loved. She was always the life of the party and exuded a personality that was bigger than life. She will be immensely missed by those who loved her. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date in Pittsburgh.
