David "Dave" Reed Jacobs, 52, of Graysville, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, in his home with his family and friends by his side.
Born November 11, 1970, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Cecil Eugene "Gene" and Velma Gertrude Bamberger Jacobs.
Dave was a Greene County resident his whole life. He graduated from West Greene High School and the Greene County Vo-Tech for Welding in 1988. Dave married Carla Rogers on July 2, 2017. He was the Owner Operator of Jacobs Excavating & Equipment Sales, Inc. for the last 20 years.
Dave farmed beef cattle most of his life. He was a member of the Greene County Farm Bureau and the Graysville Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, McKayla (Zach) Holoka, of Carmichaels and Megan Jacobs, of Holbrook; two stepchildren, Tyler and Ashley Rogers, both of Graysville; two siblings, James E. (Tracey) Jacobs, of Canonsburg and Carol (Randy) Rearick, of Akron, Ohio.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Ryerson Baptist Church, 397 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Wind Ridge, PA 15380, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Braddock Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Greene FFA Chapter, 1352 Hargus Creek Rd. Waynesburg, PA 15370 or Graysville Volunteer Fire Department, 105 Firehall Ln., Graysville, PA 15337 or a charity of your choice.
