David R. Meredith entered heaven's gate Sunday, October 24, 2021.
He was born February 2, 1939, in Canonsburg Hospital, a son of Emzie and Grace Griffith Meredith.
Dave was a McDonald High School graduate, Class of 1956. He retired in 1980 from several catering services at the Pittsburgh International Airport.
Mr. Meredith was deeply religious and sang at several different churches. He had a strong faith and he credited his mom for that. Dave loved to watch baseball and football especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Dave truly loved the birth of his son, Randy, who survives. They had many cherished memories together. He had many happy times with his companion, Toni Clites of Monongahela. They were together for 17 years. Most of all he cherished his mother, Grace. He also enjoyed his brother, J.R., who always gave him good advice.
He is survived by his fiancee, Marie "Toni" Clites of Belle Vernon; a son, Randy Meredith of McDonald; a brother, James R. "J.R." (wife Lani) Meredith of Crescent; and several nieces and nephews.
Dave fought the fight, finished the race and kept his faith. Heaven got one of the best. He and his warm laugh will be sorely missed by all. All the beautiful souls, when they pass away, leave a trail of beautiful memories.
At the request of Dave, all services were private and entrusted to Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald.
