David R. Cook Sr., age 88 of Sturgeon, passed in Wednesday February 25, 2025.
He was born June 28, 1937 in Pittsburgh; a son of the late John and Florence Snatchko Cook.
David was a graduate of West Allegheny High School class of 1956. He then worked for J&L steel that became LTV in Aliquippa for 43years where he retired in 1999.
One of Dave's proudest moments was being able to coach his son's baseball teams for over 15 years, when they played for West Allegheny Baseball League. He also coached his granddaughters softball team in Cecil. He also enjoyed arts, especially painting figurines and photography
On September 27, 1958, he married Nancy W. Beadling who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David R. (Sue) Cook Jr. and John H. (Heather) Cook; a sister, Eileen Multunas; six grandchildren, Miranda Jack, Brittany, Laura, Ryan, Kelly and Morgan Cook; four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Brynlee Jack and Calani and Korbin Cherry.
Deceased is a son Robert John Cook; a granddaughter, Allie Cook; two brothers Charles "Bud" Cook and Jack Cook, and three sisters, Alice Geisler, Jeanie Zappel and Florence "Sis" Toward.
Family will receive friend on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4-8PM at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service, 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; where a service will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery.
