Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Larson, 85, of Washington, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, with family by her side.
She was born August 6, 1940, in Sewickley, a daughter of the late R. Clark Aiken and Mabel Rankin Aiken.
Mary married Edward W. Larson, who preceded her in death on February 19, 2013. They both graduated from West Allegheny High School in 1958. Together they shared a strong partnership on so many life projects including Larson’s Wood Heat and operating their family farm.
She went on to become a medical secretary for a group of chiropractors.
Mary was a longtime and active member of First Presbyterian Church 1793, Washington.
In her later years, she remained closely connected to her classmates, helping to plan and attend monthly breakfasts and the annual reunions.
Surviving are three children, Debbie Larson Young of Washington, Scott Larson of Washington and Karen Larson Kendall and her wife, Lily, of Palm City, Florida; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. L. Stephen Smith Jr.; officiating. Interment will be private in Washington Cemetery.
