Dixie Arbuckle Obituary

Dixie P. Arbuckle, 87, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Friendship Village in Upper St. Clair. She was born August 30, 1937, to William and Ethel Pierce in Louisville, Ky. She married her middle school sweetheart, the late Gilbert E. Arbuckle, May 18, 1957. Dixie is survived by four children, Gilbert S. Arbuckle (Karen), Rick Arbuckle (Carolyn), Jill D'Ginto (Dom), and Jodi Galderise (Dan); 12 grandchildren, Nick, Greg, Kelly, Jonathan, Ryan, David, Michael, Anna, Joe, Liz, Megan, Alice; and seven great- grandchildren, Elijah, Connor, Ava, Maisie, William, Kayden and Lorelai. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gilbert E. Arbuckle; and her sisters, Dorothy Conaboy, Margaret Staple, and Georgina Anderl. Dixie was devoted to her family, the center of so many fun times and treasured memories. Dixie loved reading, sewing, walks on the beach, and became an avid golfer, even getting a hole-in-one. The family is so grateful for the staff and caregivers at Friendship Village, for the loving care Dixie received. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, in the Paul Henney Funeral Home, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park, where funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10. In lieu of flowers, donations, in her memory, can be made to Friendship Village TMAF.
