Dorothy Marlene Daugherty, 60, of Washington, died Monday. December 25, 2023. She was born January 18, 1963 in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Betty Robison Daugherty. Dorothy enjoyed being a home maker. Surviving is her beloved fiance, Larry Jenkins; a brother, Joseph "Joey" Daughtery of Washington; two sisters, Doris Daugherty of Washington and Patty Daugherty of Washington; five grandchildren, Kyeonna Whitlock, Marquis Brown Sr., Kye-Shawn Whitlock, Ka-Ron Whitlock, and Tara Keenan; and four great-grandchildren, Aalaiyah Brown, XaiVaughn "Bam" Brown, Aalaysia Brown, and Marquis Brown Jr. Deceased are a daughter, Tara Simms; and a son Jason Simms. Friends will be received 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 with Pastor Joseph DiDonato officiating.
