Dorothy Jane Graham Forte, 94, formerly of Ellsworth, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Claremont Nursing Center, Carlisle.
She was born September 16, 1929 in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of the late Homer Edward Graham and Amy Bell Helms Graham.
She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, the parish choir and the former Ave Maria Parish Women's Guild.
Dorothy was a long-time member of the Chippewa Ladies Golf League as well as a volunteer for the Washington Hospital Auxiliary for several years.
On February 19, 1949 at the Scott Air Force base in Illinois, she married Joseph Mark Forte, who died February 6, 2013.
Surviving are her children, Thomas Forte (Tammy) of Longwood, Fla., and Jane Guaetta (Chad) of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Beth Forte, Jessica Struve (Ryan), Lyndsay Bengel (Chris), Allegra Forte (Juan), Michaela Forte, Nicole Forte, Joseph Forte, Max Forte, and Cameron Forte; four great-grandchildren, Owen, Waverly, Hailey, and Lucas; a daughter-in-law, Jane Forte of New Canaan, Conn. and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a son, Michael J. Forte and a sister, Verneal Crafton of Roswell.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2023 followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Katharine Drexel, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, Bentleyville for the Rite of Committal service.
