She was born February 4, 1949, in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of the late Dwight and Imogene Ryan Rose. Dottie was a graduate of Bedford High School and The Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at the Washington Hospital for 30 years, retiring in September 1999. Mrs. Fahrner was a member of the Centreville United Methodist Church and the Ameritus Club of West Virginia Wesleyan College. On December 23, 1983, she married Robert S. They have been on 32 cruises, managed to travel to 49 of the 50 states, only missing Oklahoma, and had trips to Europe and six of the Canadian provinces. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, playing the slots at the casino, and was a sports enthusiast, especially the Steelers and West Virginia University. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two stepchildren, Stacy Reynolds of Washington, and Bill Fahrner (Kristin) of Elon, N.C.; a sister, Beverly Rose (fiance Bernie Curarelli) of Cumberland; four step- grandchildren, Macy and Jeff Reynolds, and Kayla and Lainey Fahrner. A sister, Marie Rose King, is deceased. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K.
