J. Merdian Obituary
He was born April 16, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John Louis and Rose Marie Bevilacqua Merdian.
Mr. Merdian was the beloved husband of 51 years to Pat Merdian; loving father of Jim (Kim) Merdian; cherished grandfather of Mason and Morgan Merdian; and brother of Jay (Diana) Merdian.
He attended Penn State University and California Coast University.
Prior to retirement, he traveled the world building glass plants for various entities. He was past president of Georgetown Estates Homeowners Association and a founding member of Rose Garden Swim Club Association. Mr. Merdian was a member of Rolling Hills Country Club and Valley Brook Country Club, where he enjoyed socializing with his friends. He participated in Peters Township Century Clubs Capers musical performances and enjoyed being a member of Socialaires dinner, dance club of Peters Township. He and his wife were also members of Steel Town Corvette Club and enjoyed car cruises.
Mr. Merdian lived life to the fullest, but his greatest love was his family. He attended both practice and games at all of his grandchildren's sporting events and cherished Sunday evening dinner with his family.
Friends are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, with Father Robert Miller officiating. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Peters Township Public Library.

We were shocked and very sorry to learn of Terry's passing. We've been thinking of all the fun times we had with you both. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Merdian family, I was so sorry to hear of Terry's passing.The Merdian's lived right behind us at Donaldson's Crossroads. I loved going over and seeing Terry and Jay. I had a "crush" on Terry but Jay was my best friend.Terry and my Brother Dick were great friends. I was so sad when they moved down to Clubside Park but Jay often invited me down to have lunch and watch cartoons. Mr. and Mrs. Merdian always treated the neighbor kids so well. We all congregated at their house and played on the hammocks in the back yard. I loved reading that Terry had a Corvette. WONDERFUL ! I am 71 yrs.old and I have 3. I too love going on "Cruises" on Friday night. Terry was loved by many. My condolences to the entire family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
