James Frank Burchett, 72, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
He was born on January 13, 1950, son of the late Tom and Garnet Craig Burchett. Mr. Burchett was a graduate of McGuffey High School.
For many years he worked in construction, and most recently before retirement, he was a forklift operator for Caterpillar Corp.
To those that knew him well he was called "Greasy" or "Big Frank". Frank was a sportsman that enjoyed many different things from fishing in Erie with friends to hunting whitetail and small game with his many beagles, Josie and Buster to name a few.
He also threw darts for the Arden Club, played and coached men's softball for Hilde's for many years.
He will be sadly missed by his best friends, Jim "Panama" and Lisa Welch, and their children, Donnie (Liz), Dennis ( Hanna), Amanda (Glenn), and Nikki.
He is survived by his brother, Leland R. Burchett of East Liverpool, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are twin brothers, Timothy and Thomas Burchett.
The deceased wishes are to be cremated, and have been entrusted to Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 219 Main Street Claysville, PA 15323. (724-663-7373) www.youngfhinc.com.
At his request, there will be a gathering of friends at Breezy Heights at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 27th, to raise a glass and remember the good times.
