Jean Beyer, 94, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, in Washington Hospital.
Ruth Jean Rowley Beyer was born July 1, 1928, in Bridgeville, to the late Howard Marvin and Elizabeth McCullough Rowley.
She started her career as a Physical Education teacher in Burgettstown and went on to work for Canon-McMillan School District at Cecil Jr. High until her retirement. She then worked at Country Meadows as a personal care aide to keep busy.
Jean enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors, and she loved her animals.
She is survived by her children, son, Kevin Beyer and daughter, Karen Beyer, both of Cecil; and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Paul Beyer in 1986.
Friends and relatives will be received from 12 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 12, in the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, with Pastor Beth Broschart officiating.

I have wonderful memories of Mrs. Beyer. There are still thing I remember from her Health class. RIP Mrs. Beyer.

I remember Mrs. Beyer well. She was a great Burgettstown gym teacher and was always nice to all of us timid girls. Rest in peace.
