John Stout Obituary

John M. Stout, 59, of Scenery Hill, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, with his family at his side. He was born April 1, 1966, in Avon, Ohio, a son of John E. Roebuck of Lamont Furnace and the late Patricia Stout Roebuck. John was a 1984 graduate of Tri Valley High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Stout worked for the city of Washington as the Street Department superintendent for 14 years. Prior to working for the city of Washington, he had worked seven years for Robinson Pipe Cleaning. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, anything outdoors, his two hunting dogs - a French Brittany and an American Brittany, and his cats. On October 28, 2013, he married Jessica Furmanek, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Ashli Grimm (Christopher) of Smock; a son, Michael P. Stout (Taylor) of Uniontown; six grandchildren, Chrystian Stout, Hailey and Chase Grimm, Bryson and Madilyn Roll, and Novaleigh Stout; two sisters, Jaynee King (Bret), and Johnna Wyne (Greg); a brother, John "Bud" Roebuck; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the deceased, there are no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the funeral home, in John's name.
