Joseph Crawford Obituary

Joseph Franklin Crawford, Sr., 78, of Marianna, died Sunday, February 20, 2022, in Washington Health System.

He was born at home in Marianna on July 23, 1943, a son of the late Howard Allman and Martha May Wright Crawford. He attended Barr Run School House and West Bethlehem Schools.

Joe worked as a mechanic. He owned and operated Crawford's Amoco. He proudly served in the United States Navy, and served as commander of the Fredericktown American Legion Post 391.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. At the time of Joe's passing, his son still owes him a dollar for a bet on first fish.

He also lived for gardening.

On October 30, 1983, he married Robin Lynn Crawford, who survives.

Joe leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and faithful customers from Crawford's Amoco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 24, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301, where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Lamen Davis officiating.
