Kevin Eugene Yocum, 66, of Washington, died Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born July 24, 1957, in Washington, a son of the late Ronald and Lucille Giordano Yocum. Kevin was the husband of Michelle Yocum. He was a 1975 graduate of Washington High School. Kevin worked in the construction industry for over 45 years. He owned and operated Yoc's Place in Washington, with his family. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also liked woodworking, hunting, and was a member of the Arms Club, the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175, and the Anawanna Hunting and Fishing Club. Kevin also enjoyed having coffee every morning at Jim's Stop and Shop with his friends. In addition to his wife, Michelle, he is survived by his children, Emily Neill, Kory (Kendra) Yocum, Kyle Yocum and Kevin Yocum; his stepchildren, Justin (Jackie) Bartlett and Stephanie (Jeff) Bartlett; his seven grandchildren, Brock, Carson, Lucille, Bailey, Judson, Ryatt and Daxton; his sister, Angie (Charlie) Walters; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 11, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, owner / supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Holly Renay Warco, director, Park N. Crosier, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made, in Kevin's name, to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty-Four, PA 15330 or at www.washingtonpashelter.org. Many years have passed since I've seen Kevin. Angie was one of my best friends in high school. We were all at Wash High together. Angie and I had many sleepovers at their place in the West End. I did not know Kevin well but we attended high school together and shared the same interests in woodworking, firearms and building projects.
He seemed to be a good guy and as with so many classmates, I lost touch with him beyond school. I was so sorry to learn of his untimely passing .

Kevin and I met in first grade at JFK and graduated together as Prexies. We would tease that we´d been together since Day 1. His smile was genuine and infectious. I will miss looking for him at our class reunions. I am shocked and saddened by this tragic news.
