Larry Keating

Larry "Bozo" Keating, 75, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully on Friday morning October 25, 2024. He was born on July 2, 1949, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Willard and Wilma Monzingo Keating. A 1968 graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, he served in the United States Army before working for J&L Steel. Larry was the loving husband of Carol Ann Maltony Keating, being happily married for 55 years. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and getting coffee at Bert's in Atlasburg. In addition to his loving wife, Carol, he is survived by his son, Larry Keating and wife, Tammy of Burgettstown; his daughter, Christina Keating of Burgettstown; granddaughters, Carlie Head (Jamie) of Weirton, W.Va. and Madison Keating of Burgettstown; grandson, Larry Keating of Burgettstown; and great-grandchildren, Henry and Sophia Head of Weirton, W.Va. He is also survived by several brothers and a sister. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sisters: Gale Anderson, Paula Safreed and Doris McCormick. Visitation and services will be held privately for his family under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown. Those wishing to remember Mr. Keating in a special way can make a memorial donation in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project of the Alzheimer's Association.
