Lila Mae Turk

Lila Mae Turk, 94, of McDonald, passed Sunday, November 17, 2024. She was born April 6, 1930, in Midway, a daughter of Gertrude Brockman Gilles. Mrs. Turk was a McDonald High School graduate. She was a bank teller in her early years. She then worked for Olivero Buick as a administrator for over 10 years. On November 29, 1957, she married Gilbert F. Turk, who passed January 7, 1988. Lila Mae was a devoted member of the McDonald Presbyterian Church, where she served as a former deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed ceramics, her Tuesday night Duck Pin Bowling league, crocheting, crafting, and sitting on her porch. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Turk of McDonald; two brothers- in-law, Richard (Georgie) Turk of Primrose, and James Turk of Mt. Pleasant Township; sister-in-law, Carole (the late Roger) Turk of Southview; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Donald (the late Edna) Gilles; and a brother-in-law, John (the late Anita) Turk. Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, in Graff - Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC., 220 E. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057, where services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21. Interment will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Hickory.
