Michael Dahlberg Obituary
Dr. Michael D. Dahlberg, 80, of Canonsburg, formerly of Chartiers Township, died Thursday, December 17, 2020, in North Strabane Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.
He was born May 11, 1940, in Syracuse, N.Y., a son of the late Peter and Ruth Miller Dahlberg.
Dr. Dahlberg graduated from high school in New York, the University of Georgia and received his doctorate from Cornell University.
He had worked as a research biologist for the Department of Energy in Bethel Park.
Dr. Dahlberg was a member of the Canonsburg Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A daughter, Rosemary, of California, survives.
He was predeceased by a brother, Pete Dahlberg.
All services are private and have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.

Mike was my brother in law.We met in high school when he was 15. He was an active dedicated student, very intelligent, and also played football and basketball. Summers he worked for his grandfather who was superintendent of inland hatcheries in NYS. He received his doctorate degree from Tulane University in icthyology. He kept in touch thru the years, always interested in his family. He leaves an empty place in my heart.

Dr. Michael will be remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. Mike and I had many heart to heart talks when I took care of him at north Strabane rehab and wellness. He was a resident who I could go to and talk to all the time. He use to ask me to go on walks outside with him and we would try to spot deer since we were both outdoorsman. It would be like a little family/friend gathering when my aunt Connie and uncle Andy would come to visit Mike. Many good memories in general. Rest easy Mike. Sending sympathy and prayers to Rosemary and family. May God bless you all.
