Michael Sweeney Obituary

Michael Allen Sweeney Sr., 59, of Fleetwood, died Friday, January 30, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, following a courageous battle with lymphoma and toxic epidermal necroylsis.
He was born May 5, 1955, in Greene County, a son of Grace Kent Sweeney of Waynesburg and the late Allen Kerr Sweeney.
Prior to enlisting in the military, Mr. Sweeney resided in Greene County.

Mr. Sweeney served in the U.S. Army as a master sergeant specialist 8, retiring after 23 years of service.
He was employed as a highrater for East Penn Manufacturing Co. Inc.
Mr. Sweeney enjoyed growing up in Greene County. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his family and friends, laughing and enjoying life and never meeting a stranger. He had a kind word for all.

It might seem silly, but what I wouldn't give to hear you let out one of those whistles and say, "Damn babe, that was good!" after a meal I'd made. I love you uncle Mike. Don't worry, I'll look in one Nate. RIP
