Patrick McGrogan

1937 - 2025

Patrick McGrogan, 87, of Cecil Township, formerly of Heidelberg, died on Friday, January 17, 2025. He was born March 25, 1937, in Kirwan Heights, son of the late John and Stella Klein McGrogan. Patrick was the beloved husband of Gloria Kanai McGrogan for 64 years; loving father of Maureen (John) Gallagher and Patrick (Penny) McGrogan; brother of the late Val McGrogan, Jack McGrogan, Evelyn McGrogan, Audrey Broyles and Mary Bradford; cherished grandfather of Ryan Gallagher, Sean Gallagher and Caitlin McGrogan; and great-grandfather of Cooper Patrick Gallagher. Patrick served proudly with the United States Navy and worked as an insurance salesman for Prudential Insurance Company and a contract negotiator for UFWC. At 70 years old, he started his own window business, he continued to work and remain active throughout his later years. Patrick had a passion for roller skating, and recently returned to the rink to enjoy skating again. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary Church of Corpus Christi Parish.
