Paula Rosa Obituary

Paula Jane Rosa, 75, of Avella, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Premier Washington Health Center. She was born October 22, 1949, in Washington, a daughter of the late Paul Harton and Mary Jane Miller Harton. Paula had worked as a waitress at various restaurants in Hickory including the Log Cabin and the Shanty. She then worked as an activity's aide at Country Meadows Nursing Home for 13 years, retiring in 2013. On July 1, 1966, she married her beloved husband, August David Rosa III, who survives. Paula had lived in Avella with her husband since 1972. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and going shopping. Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years are her children, Tammy (Brian) Casper of McMurray, August Rosa Jr. of Avella, and Michelle (Chris) Salvini of Hickory; six grandchildren, Haley, Tyler, Myah, Eli, Brendan and Aidan; several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are an infant son, Paul David Rosa; a brother, Kenneth R. Harton; and two sisters, Kathy Meeks and Beverly Sue Murphy. A private graveside committal service will be held in Emmanuel U.P. Church Cemetery in Eighty-Four. All funeral arrangements are being handled by Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., Avella. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to any cancer research institute. Condolences may be expressed at www.stefkovichfuneralhome.com
