Richard A. Carr, 77, of Canonsburg, died Monday, August 30, 2021.
He was born May 20, 1944 in Canonsburg, a son of John and Oma Bowman Carr.
Prior to his retirement, Rich worked as a machinist for McGraw Edison. Richard also worked in the Washington County Health System in his last years in maintenance. He was a member of the White Eagles Alliance, French Club, and he enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, and word jumble.
Surviving are his son, Bryan (Stacy) Carr, of Canonsburg; daughter, Donna (Beth Schwindt) Carr, of South Park; his significant other for many years, Trudy Hutchison; his grandson, Nicholas Carr, of Canonsburg; brother, Jack (Natalie) Carr, of Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters, Dorothy (Guy) Kouche, and Carol (Gene) Forish, all of Tucson, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Carr; and his sister, Sonja Beber.
Friends will be received 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. A blessing service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Washington County Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330, in Richard Carr's name.

I haven´t seen Ricky for years. We had great times together working at Isaly´s in the early sixties and playing as kids on Smithfield street. Hoping that his passing was peaceful. Sympathies to all. [email protected]. All the best to Bryan and Donna.
