Robert J. Coyle Sr.

Robert J. Coyle, Sr., 82, of Rostraver Township, formerly of Bedford, died Thursday, October 2, 2025, in his home. He was born August 3, 1943, in New Eagle, a son of Stanley Irwin and Winnifred Pearl Chester Coyle. Robert resided in Bedford for 30 years before moving back to the Mon Valley a few years ago. He retired from JLG Industries in Bedford with over 25 years of employment. He was a member of the American Legion in Bedford, the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Schellsburg, and the Polish and Independent clubs in Bentleyville. Robert enjoyed hunting with his sons and buddies. He loved his Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He is survived by three children, Robert J. Coyle, Jr., Dana Coyle, Chad Coyle; two grandchildren, Tristan and Savannah Coyle; sister, Donna Lynn (Wayne) Lessman; sister-in-law, Patricia Coyle; his beloved beagle, Johnny; and granddog, Teddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Coyle; two sisters, Gloria (Charles) Welch and Zoanna Welch; and brother, Stanley "Butch" Coyle.
