Robert Rush Obituary
Mr. Rush was born December 17, 1943, in Carmichaels, a son of the late Fred L. and Mary E. Moore Rush.
Surviving are his wife, Martha L. Bennett Rush; a son, Robert E. Rush II (Alexander Martinez) of Hagerstown, Md.; two grandchildren, Mark William Kramer of Hagerstown and Mary Kramer of Carmichaels; two brothers, Duane Rush (Elizabeth) and Norman Rush (Debbie), both of Carmichaels; a sister-in-law, Joan Rush; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Robin Kramer, and a brother, George Rush.
Mr. Rush served his country from 1963 to 1967 in the U.S. Navy.
He retired as a director of engineering at Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, funeral director/supervisor, and from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, October 19, in First United Methodist Church, Carmichaels, with the Rev. Bruce Judy officiating.
Full military rites will be accorded in Greene County Memorial Park, Mogan Township, by American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491.
Masonic services will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening.

Robert Edward Rush, Uncle Bob to me, will live eternally in my heart. I have many memories of him. As a child I remember spending many days at his house. His kind and jovial demeanor towards us was always enjoyable. Since he spent time in the Navy, I remember he and my father (a Marine) kindly harassing each other over which branch of service was better. When I attended OCS and had a weekend off, he and Aunt Martha took me in. He will definitely be missed but never forgotten. He is in a better place now. Our condolences and prayers go out to Aunt Martha, Rob, Marc, and Mary. RIP Uncle Bob, may you always have wind in your sails sailor.
