Stacy Gallagher Obituary

Stacy Ann Gallagher, 68, of Washington, died Saturday, March 29, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 19, 1956, in Washington, a daughter of the late Emory S. and Kathryn "Kitty" Moore Galloway. She was a graduate of Trinity High School as well as Edinboro University, and was a member of Broadstreet Baptist Church, Washington. She was a lifetime resident of Washington. She was also a member of the Keystone Club, the Arms Club, and the Women's Auxiliary of the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion. On September 17, 1983, she married Phillip G. Gallagher, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Shawn E. Gallagher, and Ryan R. (Melanie) Gallagher; a sister, Judy L. (Gene) Rush; a brother, Gary (Kim) Galloway; a granddaughter, Keely Gallagher; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 1 to 6 p.m., the hour of services, Tuesday, April 1, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, with Lauri Sophia Rose, officiant. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Stacy's memory, may be directed to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Condolences may be expressed at www.piattandbarnhillfh.com. Stacy will be most remembered for the enduring love she had for her sons. Stacy's family would like to offer immense gratitude to Dr. Sandhu and the staff of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Washington, for the incredible care provided to Stacy for the last four years. She appreciated all of the work and support of the entire nursing staff and viewed them as friends. Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors, Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner/supervisor and Andrew C.
