Walter James 'Bud' Dalverny, 84, of Bridgeville, formerly of Bulger, died Sunday, November 26, 2023, in UPMC Mercy Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born December 23, 1938 in Midway, Son of the late Fred and Stella Gatus Dalverny.
Walter served in the Marine Corp after high school. He worked at Wheeling Steel as a laborer, then spent many years as a yardman at the Pennsylvania and Lake Erie rail yard in McKees Rocks. After retirement he continued to work for Napa in Bridgeville as a delivery person.
He attended Corpus Christi Parish, Bridgeville. He also enjoyed golf, being in the outdoors, hunting, especially traveling the Forest County, Marienville area. He was also a huge fan of Hank Williams, Sr. and Waylon Jennings. He most liked spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Shawn (Jessica) Dalverny; grandchildren, Garbriella and Finley Dalverny all of Baldwin Boro; two brothers, Terry (Linda) Dalverny of Cumberland, Md.; and Fred (Carol) Dalverny of Calcutta, Ohio; a sister, Sharon (Dale) Kreuer of South Fayette; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Gilligan Dalverny; sister, Carol Dalverny; and a brother, John in infancy.
A private service was held and interment in Our Lady of Lourdes, Burgettstown.
