Marshall Butler Obituary
He was born March 5, 1949 in Catawba County to the late Bill Butler and Mable Hedrick Butler of Hickory.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Butler.
Those left to cherish his memory are;
Wife of 49 ½ years: Frances Christenbury Butler of Conover
Son: Brandon Butler and wife Jenny of Newton
Daughter: Elaine Butler of Salisbury
Mother: Mable Hedrick Butler of Hickory
Brothers: Terry Butler of Hickory
Steve Butler and wife Kathy of Maiden
Sister: Christy Butler of Catawba
Grandchildren: Brandon II and Nathaniel
A service to celebrate Marshall's life will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Claremont. Rev. Paul Christ and Rev. David Daly will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Those serving as pallbearers are; Ashley Brotherton, Casey Cook, Karston Danner, Billy Huffman Jr., Robert Huffman and Jesse White. Members of the Claremont Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation, PO Box 68, Bahama, NC 27503.

Dad youre my hero and my best friend. I miss you more than words can ever express. You taught me so many things in life like how to shave and drive and how to become a man.We had so many adventures together. I know i will see you again but until then i will be strong and carry on as you would want me to. I love you dad....
