Clare Portelli Obituary
Summerfield - Mrs. Clare J. Portelli, 73, passed away in The Villages on May 2, 2009. She was born in Zejtun, Malta on April 1, 1936. She was a homemaker. She moved to this area in 1975 from Toronto, Canada. She attended Meadowbrook Church in Ocala. She is survived by her husband Joseph of 52 years and lived in Summerfield, Florida. Two daughters: Anne Arsenault of Newcastle, Ontario Canada and Rita Hamer of Ocala, Florida. Three brothers: John Baldacchino of San Bruno, California; Joe Baldacchino of Sydney, Australia and Carmenu Baldacchino of Naxxar, Malta. A sister Gola Muscat of Zejtun, Malta. Seven grandchildren: Catharine Grubb, Christine Arsenault, Juliette Arsenault, Jessica Arsenault, Charles Hamer, Nathan Hamer and Natalie Hamer. Four great-grandchildren: Julia, Lexie, Soliel and Autumn. She is predeceased by a daughter Carmen. A gathering of friends will be at the Roberts Bruce West Chapel 6241 SW Hwy 200 Ocala, Florida (352) 854-2266 on Wednesday May 6a' from 5-7 PM. And a funeral service at the Meadowbrook Church on Thursday May 7th at 10 AM.

Uncle Joe, Anne, Rita and family,

Clare was a great lady! I know she will be missed. I have fond memories of her and Joe from my teen age years at Emmanuel Church, how time flies. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Dear Rita and family,
We know that Clare will be sadly missed by all. You just have to focus on the promises and we will see her once again. What a wonderful mother, wife and grandmother she is. God Bless all of you and we will be praying for all of you. Remember she is in the presence of the Living King. Amen!
