Michelle so sorry for your loss. I knew Gerard from when we were kids growing up in Lindenhurst. I was friends with Gerards sister Cathy and my mom was friends with his mom Kitty. I can still remember what a proud daddy he was when Cheryl was born. Again so sorry for your loss, for you and the whole family. Love Roseann Russo Congro

every time i came to his class he would always ask how my day was or how my weekend was an he would ask if i grew any over the weekend :) we always had fun in class one time in class we used our cell phones to pop popcorn it didn't really work but it as still fun. Mr.Prevete had a different way of teaching than most of the teachers at BHS he would be teaching us vocab or something else in our book and then it would remind him of something from his past so we would spend the rest of class with him telling us stories of his past. He was always telling us to try our best at whatever we do in life and to follow our dreams. He was one of the few teaches that made senior year fun and i knew if i needed someone to talk to he would be there to help out. R.I.P Mr.Prevete

Gerry had a tackle box full of stories that he frequently shared with his students and fellow coworkers. He hoped these experiences would be inspirational, and meaningful to the right person. Gerry encouraged me to become a teacher. Thank you Gerry, for your kind words and sense of humor.
