GODWIN NEVILLE, 88
Reddick - Godwin Neville Mitchell, 88, of Reddick, Florida passed away peacefully on March 18, 2013 at Legacy House. Godwin Mitchell was born in Grenada, West Indies on February 26, 1925.
Godwin "Nev" is survived by his loving wife Catherine "Katie" of 60 years, sons Frank V. (Claudette) Mitchell of Staten Island, New York, Alfred T. (Denise) Mitchell, MD of League City, Texas, Pastor Godwin R. (Gasie) Mitchell Jr. of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, daughters Kathleen C. (Larry) Mitchell-Barker, MD of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Debrah (Andre) Marks, RN of Ocala, Alisha E. (Gary) Anson of Reddick, Tracey E. (Vincent) Newton of Ocala, 17 loving grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers Roger (Ann) Mitchell, David (Mae) Mitchell, and many extended family.
He was an active member of the Shiloh SDA Church for over 40 years and served in many capacities including 1st elder, and Sabbath school teacher.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shiloh SDA Church, Jay Winston, Pastor, and Pastor Godwin R. Mitchell Jr., Eulogist.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 22, 2013 From 10 AM until 6 PM at Cunningham Funeral Home. Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the Mitchell Residence (3880 Hwy. 316, Reddick, FL 32686) at 12:00 PM on Sunday to form the funeral cortege.
