Belleview - Born August 14, 1935 in Belleview, FL, Huey Lane Monroe died March 21, 2012 in Oxford, FL. He is survived by beloved wife of 55 years, Agnes Counts Monroe of Belleview, FL; sons, Wayne (Cindy) of Ocala, FL, and Richard (Shon) of Belleview, FL; brothers, Leonard of Ocala, FL, Lloyd of Summerfield, FL, and J. O. Monroe of Ocala, FL; sister, Juanita Smallridge of Belleview, FL; grandchildren, Jenie', Jacob, Heaven, Jarrett, and Wyatt. He was preceded in death by brother, Ralph; and sister, Vera. Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Summerfield. Memorials are encouraged to Hospice of Marion County. Arrangements entrusted with HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, Belleview, 352-245-2424. Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.

Aunt Aggie, Wayne, Ricky and family, I have been remembering all the wonderful times we had at Grandma and Grandpa Counts in Ft. McCoy. I truly believe we had the very best Easter egg hunts and Christmas celebrations; better than anyone in the whole wide world. I remember all the great times we had with you in Bryson City, NC. We loved it and we love all of you. Please know I would be there if it was at all possible. David really enjoyed Uncle Huey. Know that God is our comfort and strength. Uncle Huey and Mama are enjoying their many serious and humerous conversations and Grandma Counts isn't even bothered by Uncle Huey calling her "Charlie". Our love and prayers go with this.
