IVERY DELEON
Morriston - Mr. Ivery D. Luckey, Sr. age 68, transition this life to be with the Lord on May 06, 2017 at Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. He was a farmer, member of the Florida Cattleman's Association, (Marion & Sumter County), Black Farmers Association and a Gold Star supporter of the (Marion County 4-H Indigo Club). Mr. Luckey was a graduate of Howard High School (Class of 1967) and served in the United States Army (Vietnam War).
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a devoted wife, Lilly Coy Luckey; daughter, Valerie Luckey Nelson; sons, Ivery Luckey, Jr., Anthony Luckey; grandson, Matthew Nelson; sisters, Tennessee Luckey Jones, Vashti Luckey; brother, James Luckey, Sr.
Funeral service for Mr. Ivery Luckey will be held 1:00PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Keith Dominion House of God. Rev. Lucious Taylor, Eulogist. Wake services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6:00PM until 7:00P at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Otis Williams, Pastor. Visitation will be held at Hadley-Brown Funeral Home from 1:00PM until 5:00PM. Professional services are entrusted to Hadley-Brown Funeral Home, 127 N.W. 20th Street, Ocala, FL 34475. (352) 620-0573.

May you Rest In Peace, Ivery. Blessings to your family from Jim and me. To his family -I met Ivery when he pastured cattle near my home in Ocala. It was a pleasure to visit with him over the years and swap stories about family and life in general. I loved knowing him and am so sorry to read that he has passed from this life. Heaven is a better place with Ivery there, living now with our dear Lord.

The 6 years I knew you Uncle Ivery were an experience of wisdom being taught to me. You were like a blood uncle oppose to being by marriage. Thanks for the late night chats and the advice given concerning manhood. You wasnt understood by many but if they only knew what they missed. RIP Unc...

Oh Mr. Luckey, sure do miss seeing you at treatment. No more pulling my big toe on the way out or offering me gum. I will never forget you giving me that container of bubble gum lol Now I have another patient chewing it too. I told her I had to repay you the favor of buying me that gum so I gave one to her. Glad I had that chance to meet you and you will surely be missed by many!
