EVANGELIST JOAN SHERMAN
Evangelist Joan Sherman Booker age 56.
On January 4, 1955 a lovely baby girl (3rd Child) was born TO The Late Horace and Velma Sherman named Joan Sherman. Joan received her education in Marion County School System, Graduating Class of 1973 from Vanguard High School. Joan attend CFCC in Ocala and Graduated with a B.A. degree in Education from the University of West Florida; Pensacola, Florida in 1978. For many Years she labored as a mentor, a Devote wife and mother. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 Years and retired in 2006 from Belleview Elementary School where she worked 25 consecutive years. Joan Mourned the Death of her loving mother Velma Bernard Sherman in January 1985, Her Caring Father Horace Sherman on March 31, 2006. Her beautiful and Loving Sister Cathy Jamerson in August 2006. On October 4, 2011 Joan was Surrounded by her Family and passed on to be with the Lord as her family bade her farewell. Joan was a woman that "Loved" praising the Lord. She would do anything for anybody. She will be missed dearly and leaves to Cherish her memories. Her Sons: James Reynolds (Sharonda), Cedric Jones and Raymond Jones, All of Ocala, Florida; one Dutiful daughter, Deborah Booker, Ocala Florida; three beautiful caring grandchildren; Jamaquel, Lada'shar, Shanell Reynolds all of Ocala, Florida; two Loyal and Caring Sisters Alice Brown (Eugene) and Joyce Franklin Bernard) all of Ocala, Florida; four supportive brothers: Horace Sherma ,Jr. (Gloria) of Williston, Florida Larry Sherman (Pamela) Keith Sherman (Cathy) and her favorite Herman Sherman all of Ocala, Florida; many, many God children she Nurtured, Mentored and Love Unconditionally Very Special and dear Quandra, Aaliyah and her little Mariah. A HOST OF Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many lifelong Friends. A Very Caring and supportive future daughter in law; Lasheka Mack.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Joan Sherman Booker, Age 56 school teacher will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church 14485 W. Highway 326 Blitchton, Florida 32686 with the Revered Otis Williams, Pastor and Bishop Arthur Fields Jr., Eulogist. Interment will be in The Pine Grove Cemetery, Blitchton, Florida under the care of SUMMERS FUNERAL HOME INC. 2238 Northwest 10th Street Ocala, Florida 34475, 352-351-0566. Visitation is on Friday at SUMMERS 11:OO A.M. to 5:00 P.M. There will be a Wake Service at SUMMERS FUNERAL HOME from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. then at the, Church on Saturday 2:00 P.M. until time of service. No Viewing After the Eulogy. Family will line up at 2465 Northwest 66thh Street, Ocala, Floridal on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. Repast will be held at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
