NATHAN EARL RAWLINGS "Nate"
Of Washington, DC passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014. Beloved son of Lillie Ruth Rawlings and the late Eugene Rawlings. His wife, Wilma "Butterfly" O. Clark, preceded him in death. Father of Nathaniel "Wayne" (Alena) Treen and Njeri Clark; grandfather of Candice, Jordan and Hasan; great-grandfather of Dwayne; loving brother of Patricia "Ann" Rawlings Foster, Doris L. Jackson, Jeffery (Janell) Rawlings, LaTanya Holly-McClain, Patricia Williams Johnson and Bernadette Izlar (sister-in-law). Nathan also leaves to mourn his passing seven aunts, six uncles and a host of other relatives. Services on Saturday, December 20, at Little Rock Church of Deliverance, 2214 Naylor Road SE. Wake 10 a.m. Funeral 11 a.m. Apostle Clarence Richardson, officiating. Private Interment. Arrangements by LATNEY'S.

I know your hearts are broken. Please except my sincere condolences to you all.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2Cor 5:8. Take comfort in the knowing that there is no more suffering for Nate as he is enfolded in God's love.

The best way to honor someone who is not with us anymore is to continue living our life and keep their memory alive through everyday events. Nathan would have wanted that, and expected nothing less from us. As hard as it seems, we will get through this difficult time and emerge stronger.
