R.C. Cummins Obituary

CUMMINS, R.C.
R.C. Cummins went to reside with his heavenly Father on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the age of 92. R.C. was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from West High School in Columbus. After High School he proudly served in the US Navy. Soon after he left the service, he met and married Virginia Waldron. They have been together since 1949. RC earned a degree in Management from the Insurance Institute of America and entered the Property Casualty insurance field. R.C., Virginia, and Laura Lee (their only child) moved to Florida in 1969 where R.C. continued in insurance with the Maryland Casualty Company, finally retiring with more than 30 years of service behind him. He loved to golf - and he was good enough to earn a couple of trophies playing - and in his younger days, loved to bowl.
R.C. met Jesus, accepted him as his lord and savior on July 15, 1979. R.C.'s life was renewed and church, prayer, praise, and love took on a new meaning for him. R.C. would like to be remembered as one who loved the Lord, loved his wife and daughter, and loved his church family - all in that order.
R.C. is preceded in death by a brother, Bob, and a sister, Janet.
He is survived by his wife Virginia; and his daughter, Laura Lee.
