Sandra Cann Obituary
Ocala - Sandra L. "Sandy" Cann, age 68, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. She was born in Abington, PA on September 10, 1942. She was raised in Willow Grove, PA. She married her high school sweetheart, Noel J. Cann, and together they raised four children. After her husband's military career they settled in Port Charlotte, FL where they lived until moving to Ocala, FL. Her pride was homemaking, family and crafts. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Noel J. Cann of Ocala, FL; son Christopher T. (Melissa) Cann of Swainsboro, GA; son Brent N. (Judit) Cann of Budapest, Hungary; daughter Sheri L. (Christopher) Craig of Port Charlotte, FL; son Brian R. (Sara) Cann of Roanoke, VA; brother Brooke Allender of Pennsylvania; brother Edward Allender of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother William Allender of Port Charlotte, FL; sister-in-law Carol Colello of Levittown, PA; and 8 grandchildren: Christopher, Noelle, Forrest, Drew, Christian, Autumn, Ian and Skyler. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Theda Allender. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs, Blvd, Ocala, FL. The family will receive friends on the day of the service from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Hiers-Baxley Reception facility. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of lung cancer research.

Dearest Noel
John and I were so saddened by Sandy's death,it leaves a hole in our hearts.
Although we did not see one another many times I always felt so close to you both.
I am trying yo remember the good times we had in Toronto, Ocala and in Hilton Head.
She is with all her angels now and in no pain or distress and that is a blessing.

How Blessed I feel having had Sandy as a friend. I take great comfort knowing that she is not suffering any more, as I know the family is too. She was a strong and loving lady. She had a wonderful caring family of which she was very proud. I will always cherish my last visit with her on Monday the 25th of April. I know that until we meet again I have another guardian angel watching over me. Both Ron and I send our love and condolences to Butch, her children, their spouses and her grandchildren.
