MT. MORRIS, IL– Marilyn Elaine Eickman, age 92, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL.
Marilyn was born on October 24, 1928 in Leaf River, the daughter of Hibbard H. & Helen E. (Cramer) Reber Sr. She graduated from Leaf River High School class of 1946. Marilyn worked as a receptionist at WREX-TV. Then, she worked as a secretary, and later production manage,r of "Travel & Leisure and Food & Wine" at Quebecor in Mt. Morris, IL, retiring in 1991. She was a Leaf River and Mt. Morris area resident all her life. Marilyn married Leo Ridenour on July 20, 1946. Then, she married Eugene Marshall on February 28, 1965, and Merlyn J. Eickman on February 18, 2006 in the Disciples United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, IL. Merlyn preceded her in death on March 14, 2019.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Jerre L. (Charles "Butch") Duffy, Mt. Morris, IL, Melody J. (Gary) Henderson, Byron, IL., Rev. Dr. Michael L. (Jan) Marshall, Fort Worth, TX; Patrick E. (Rhonda)Marshall, Byron, IL; and Kevin R. (Mary Kay) Marshall, Mt. Morris, IL; grandchildren, Cheryl (Joe) Jicha, Lauren (Jon) Silvers, Timothy (Rhonda)Duffy, Dr. Todd (Dr. Alicia) Duffy, Corey (Jamie) Buck, Mindy (Tom) Becker, Allison Marshall, Adam Marshall, Andrea (Patrick) Kelley, Collin (Alix),Marshall, and Hanna (Skyler) Starnes; stepgrandchildren, Dana (John Hill )Henderson, and Todd (Amy) Henderson; several great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Eugene and Merlyn; son, Steven D. Ridenour; and brother, Hibbard "Junior."
Services will be held in Finch Funeral Home,405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. withRev. Dr. Michael Marshall officiating. Burial will be in 12 Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL at 1:30 P.M. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.

Marilyn was always such the lady, always dressed well, polite and kind. Merlyn and she were quite the dashing couple! I knew them from church in Pec. and my business, Open Range Products. I would visit them in Mt Morris and bring a balloon and M and Ms, for their names; plain and peanut-cause sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't! Could not visit towards Merlyn's end because I had a terrible cold and then broke my ankle and could not get around well. Then knew Marilyn did not remember me. She was always still in my prayers. Remember following her home from visiting with Merlyn in Mt Morris because I was not sure she would make it back to Pec., but she did! Miss them.
