Ahuma Ysumde Obituary
Ahuma Ajuwe Ysumde II, affectionately known as AJ/Ajuwe by friends and family, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15. He was 40 years old.
Born August 20, 1976 in Trenton, New Jersey, he lived most of his life in the Akron area and graduated from Central Hower High School in 1994. He pursued modeling after high school, then attended Akron University for several semesters before working for various restaurants in many capacities. He had planned to return to university at Stark State College in Spring 2018 to study computer forensics.
Ajuwe enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing, Scrabble, karaoke, Words with Friends, music by Madonna and Adele, programs on the Nature Channel, and had recently begun composting and growing plants and flowers. He attended church at St. Paul's Community Church in Ohio City, Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by brother Wendell, grandparents, cousin Raashi, and uncles Willie and Richard Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Ahuma and Isibe Ysumde; sisters, Yolanda and Knobi; brother, Oboit Duwanse Ysumde; Godparents, Art and Laura Sherman; special nieces, Chyna, Indya, Grace, Parys, Isabelle; nephews, Ashanti, Duwanse, Daryl, Richard; and close friend, Daiv Whaley. He also leaves a host of other dear relatives and friends, including aunts, Ajama (Latisha) Bajamour and Faawe (Bwabbi) Amajuwon, Mary Payne and Molly Daughtery; cousins, Lori Ray, Mika Amajuwon, Neidre Gordon, Bwabbi Amajuwon II, and Akambe, J' Wami and Omambe Cames; and dear friends Brian Lang, Debbie Mitchell, Earl Shelton, Ursula J. Thomas, Daniel Yovanovich and many more. He leaves a host of other relatives and friends. Ajuwe will be greatly missed but his memory will always remain in our hearts.
Services will be Friday, July 28 at First Apostolic Church, 790 Easter Avenue, Akron - viewing will be from 11 until Noon with the funeral at 12 p.m. with Pastor Samuel L. Hampton II.

I an't believe you have passed on, dear dear friend. There was so much good stuff coming up for you ahead, and I'm still really just grasping that your raspy laugh, huge strides, affectionate nature and gentle humility is gone from the Earth. I'm so angry and so sad at this terrible accident. But I know that Jesus is with you now and that you'e in great company and having the time of your life! I will see you again when the Reunion happens. You've left so many here to cry and pick up the pieces of their shattered hearts.
