Carl Wright Obituary
Carl Wright Jr. (Cubby) was welcomed into the arms of his savior on Dec. 14, 2015.
Loving husband, father, son, brother, pastor and friend, to know him was to love him. He was the proprietor of A Manicured Lawn LLC, founding pastor of Apostolic Church of Akron, a generous giver and an enthusiastic fisherman and hunter. He touched the lives of all whose paths he crossed.
He is survived by Victoria, his lifelong sweetheart and wife of 28 years; sons, CJ and Brandon; parents, Carl and Becky, all of Akron; brother, Rick (Maryann) Wright of Moundsville, W. Va.; sister, Teresa (Jim) Horvath of Barberton; nephews, nieces and an extended family, church family and friends that will miss him terribly.
Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Apostolic Church, 1717 Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Barberton 44203. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Bishop Rodney Pamer officiating. Burial at Lakewood Cemetery.

Man, I can hardly believe it! Cubby and his wife, Vickie are WONDERFUL people. I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Cubby is no longer with us. He had a great since of humore and was very kind my my family.
I'll always remember how fair and kind you were to me and my son.

Carl was a customer of ours. We didn't know him on a personal basis but he made his impression. Carl was the sort of man who didn't advertise his faith or character but both were apparent in his kindness and the way he treated others. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. We know he will be missed.

He will always be Pastor Cubby to me. He married my husband and I and offered such words of wisdom to us. My heart and prayers go out to his family, especially his Loving Wife Vicky. You will be forever missed Pastor Cubby.

Vickie, Please know that you are utmost in my prayers. I did not know Cubby, but smile when I remember the stories you shared. (When he tried to call you using Facetime at work on his new phone) because they reminded me of some that I shared with my husband. I hope that a life shared with your love will bring you comfort in the coming days. We should all be so lucky to find that kind of love. His peace.

I dont have words to say...I am so glad to have known Cubby. He enriched my life by the love that he showed to everyone, and I mean everyone. If I could be as caring as he was, then my goal of being a better person would be reached. I asked him one time, "Why are you a pastor?" He answered , "Its because I love people."
