Carol (Young) Boal

Carol earned her angel wings on April 18th, 2014, while surrounded by her children.

She was the ninth of ten children born to Chester and Janet (Lennox) Young on November 8th, 1940 in Akron, Ohio. Carol attended East High School. In June of 1989, she earned a diploma in Data Processing from Southern Ohio College.

Carol was a homemaker. She made clothes for her children and worked numerous jobs. She volunteered in the community with Meals on Wheels, The Akron Civic Theater and with various churches. She loved traveling, music, singing, dancing, playing bingo and socializing. Her holiday parties were among the family favorites.

Many family members will miss Carol's pretty smile, her witty sense of humor and wonderful conversations; her children, Linda Boal (Arizona), Jane Boal (Mike Walther), and Kenny Boal (Jane Skvarka) (all California); grandchildren, Robert, Patricia, Nathan, Owen and Landon; her siblings, Richard Young, Sally Smith and Sue Keenan; along with four great grandchildren, cousins and dear friends at The Merriman.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jody (Boal) Hutchison, as well as siblings, Geraldine, Josephine, Kathryn, Mary, Duane, and Janette.

At her request, Carol asked for a "party, not a funeral!" Join us for a short memorial on Saturday, April 26th at 5 p.m. at The Tallmadge First Congregational Church, 85 Heritage Dr., Tallmadge, 44278 (off 91 between Tallmadge Circle and Howe Rd.). Celebration immediately following.
