Chad Hartung Obituary
Chad Michael Hartung, 22, of Atwater, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004.
Born Feb. 12, 1982, in Ra venna, Ohio, to Neal and Linda (Huffman) Hartung, he was a lifelong Portage County resident. Chad graduated from Southeast High School in 2000, where he played on the baseball team, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna. Chad worked in receiving at L.D. Carlton Co. in Kent.
He is survived by his parents, Neal and Linda of Atwater; sister, Nicole, and brother, Mathew, both of Atwater; grandmothers, Esther Huffman and Betty Hartung, both of Ravenna.
Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Shorts Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. No funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, me morials may be made to the family at 3031 Stroup Rd., At water, Ohio 44201. (Shorts, 330-296-6858.)

Chad, wow.... I havent seen you in such a long time! I remember out at the campgrounds when me and Jennie used to always talk to you and all the other lifeguards, we thought we were soo cool. There is no one out there anymore to talk to. I miss you and your family alot out there cuz i used to look up to all of you... of course I had a crush on you but i think every girl out there did. Words cannot explain the loss of Chad. We lived next to each other. I spent a lot of time playing baseball, football, soccer, basketball and also just hanging out with him and his family. I will never forget those moments we had together growing up. He was like a brother to me and my family and I will miss him so much. He always had a bright smile on his face. Chad touched many lives and lived life to the fullest. He will be forever loved and missed.
