I just can't believe it. Duke and I had great times as kids. I'm literally in tears right now. He lived next door and then moved down the street. We always get into something. We'd play baseball in the streets, play video games, take bike rides to Mcdonalds or Red Barn. I remember when I would go over to his house and we would type and print parlay sheets and pass them around at school. We'd be watching the games and would figure out how much we were going to win. He used to drive a cutlass with the bass thumpin. Oh, I forgot. He would lay cardboard down on the ground and breakdance with the music coming from a boombox. I was never as good as him. In the winter the whole neighborhood would end up playing football in the snow. Duke was a pretty good football player. As the years passed, we didn't get together much. So very sorry. My condolences to Vicki and the kids.

I wish we would have kept in touch over the years. Duke was my friend since childhood. We got into plenty of trouble together at Holy Family and continued it at Hoban. We worked at KFC on Tallmadge Avenue when we were 16. He drove me nuts that summer. We didn't lock the house door back then and he would come into my bedroom at 6:00 am and shake me awake saying "come on let's go fishing". I always assumed I'd see him at the Hoban football games and be able to talk to him. He was my friend and I will miss him. Love and prayers to his family.

Our family loved Duke´s passion for Brooke while she was in net during games. Our daughter Morgan played hockey with Brooke on the Lady Barons team. Duke was such a go getter and we all enjoyed our talks and yelling during the girls games. My son loved sitting with Duke at every game. Our sincere condolences and prayers to you all! He truly was a great guy and will definitely be missed.

We are so saddened to hear about the passing of your husband and Dad, Duke. Far too young, God must've had big plans for him. The couple times I meant him through Vicky, Duke was such a kind & wonderful family man. May you find peace in your memories and feel the love of those around you. May he rest in peace. God bless you all.
