Diana German Obituary

Diana Drobny German "DeeDee"

The family of Diana Jeanne Drobny German "DeeDee" are celebrating her life while mourning her passing. Her name Diana was chosen because of the meaning "God's Gracious Gift", and she was just that to her family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved her. She was beautiful both inside and out.

Born in Akron on July 1, 1959 to Elmer and Marilyn Drobny, she met and married the love of her life, David German, and then moved to Cambridge, Ohio where they had two amazing children, Kellee and Eric. She was a devoted wife and mother and eventually, along with husband Dave, opened Woodlawn Floral where they worked together to build an outstanding business and she designed the most creative and beautiful flower arrangements over the next 25 years.

Preceded in death by father, Elmer Drobny; grandparents, Karl and Wilma Behlmaier; and father-in-law, Ted German; she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Dave; children, Kellee (Nathan) LeGalley and Eric (Kristin) German; grandchildren, Chase and Sophia LeGalley, Andrew and Jonathan German; mother, Marilyn Drobny; sisters, Laurie Pouncey and Debi Ostermann; mother-in-law, June German; brothers-in-law, Tom German and Mark (Sue) German; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Calling hours 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday (October 20th) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home (139 S. 9th Street, Cambridge). Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday (October 21st) at the funeral home. Our precious DeeDee will be laid to rest following the funeral at Zion Cemetery (Claysville Road, Cambridge).

God gave us all a gift which can never be forgotten or replaced. She gave love and got love and will be sadly missed by all.

Like a father who removes the cause of his children's suffering and dries their eyes, God will help and strengthen you during this difficult time. Jeremiah 29:12
