Eleanore Sparhawk Obituary
Eleanore O. Sparhawk, 85, passed away May 10, 2003.
Born in Akron, she was a life resident of the area. Eleanore was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and served several terms on the Deaconess Board. She gave her services willingly to others.
Preceded in death by parents, John Harry and Emelia Hafer, and brothers, Robert V. and Charles S. Hafer, she is survived by husband, Edwin; daughters, Nancy (Wilbur) Brown of Medway, Ohio; son, Rob ert (Sharon) Sparhawk of Akron; grandchildren, Tim and Jeff (Shel ley) Sparhawk, Doug (Tami) Brown, Elaine (Matt) Bourret, Katherine (Sean) Holley, and Andrew Brown; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Terry Lucarelli officiating. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge (on the circle), and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Ak ron 44305.

My deepest sympathy to the family on Eleanore's death. She was truly an inspiration to so many and loved by all. She will be deeply missed. She was such an active participant in church and I really got to know her through her faithful attendance at Prayer and Praise services on Tuesday evenings.
