Gary Mansell Obituary
Gary W. Mansell, 68, went to be with his Lord, peacefully on June 9, surrounded by family.
He was born August 15, 1945 and lived in Akron where he was a member of the East Liberty Church of the Nazarene. He was loved and respected by all who knew him, and will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his beautiful blue eyes!
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Mansell and brother, Douglas Mansell. In addition to his mother, Alice Mansell, Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Robin; children, Kim (Ron) Richards, Becky (Rob) Lee, and Bryan Mansell, all of Akron; grandchildren, Andrea (David), Karrie, Catherine, Dylan, Holly, and Kaydence; siblings, Jeff (Cheryl) Mansell, of Columbus, Carrin Blanton; and sister-in-law, Sharon Mansell of Akron; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
The family wishes to thank all who provided loving medical care to Gary, especially Patty and the team of Visiting Nurse Hospice.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, Rev. Don Gainer officiating. It´s been 10 years pawpaw I still miss you like crazy I´m driving now and graduated High school I know you would be proud of me I still think about rides in the corvette and the cruise ins we would go to just the other day I was thinking about you would always say to me how proud you are of me and the man I´m becoming I hope I´m making you proud I know one day we will meet again and talk about all the cars and your Corvette and how we would always joke about what a chick magnet it was I love you pawpaw and always will I will forever do my best to make you proud. As I go on in this crazy world I will keep my head held high for you. I will always miss you and love you

Gpa you will always be my rock. You were the most loving, hard working, dedicated and caring man I know. You formed a legacy for us all to follow. My heart feels like it has been ripped out and torn into little pieces. I miss and love you more than words can describe. You left a void that can never be filled.
