Passed: 2-22-2016
Dad passed away in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.
Preceded in death by wife, Emeline Jacobs; parents, Louis and Mavis Jacobs; brothers, David, Joseph and Jack; and grandchild, Billy Jacobs; he is survived by daughter, Peggy Miller (Ron) of New Franklin; son, Fred Jacobs (Lucy) of Ocoee, Fla.; grandsons, Derrick Miller (Rebekah) of Lewiston, Mont., Joshua Miller (Shannon) of New Franklin, Danny Jacobs (Keri) of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Emma and Colt; and brother, Ralph Jacobs.
Gerald retired from Goodyear Aerospace. Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing pool. He also loved polka music and polka dancing. Our memories will be cherished forever.
The family would like to thank Greenview Inn Senior Assisted Living Memory Care Unit and Summa Hospice for their wonderful care.
Per Gerald's request, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Summa Hospice, 1077 Gorge Blvd., Akron, OH 44310. www.swigarteasterlingfuneralhome.com (Swigart-Easterling, 330-854-2356)
