Born in Staffordshire, England, she moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1955. Mrs. Reid was a member of the Salvation Army, and worked as a receptionist for the Adult Rehabilitation Center.
Preceded in death by brother, Wilfred Marsh, and sister, Doris Idoine, she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Sydney; son, John Reid (Nancy) of Roxanna, Ill.; daughter, Gillian Bosh (Larry) of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. SATURDAY at the Salvation Army Citadel, 190 S. Maple St., Akron. Private inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to child sponsorships in third-world countries.

I remember Mrs. Reid as a wonderful mother, wife and Christian lady. My family has so many good memories of the Reid family. My sympathies go to Syd and his family.

papa is having a hard time with you being gone. but I guess you know that. Comfort him. Let him know it's okay. I see you everyday. I can hear your voice. It's weird to call the house and not have you answer the phone.
I promised to look after papa, and I will keep that. I can't bring myself to visit you. it's too hard still.
I cry still... even now.
