Hulda Hawkins Obituary
Hulda M. Hawkins, 77, died May 25, 2002 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Hawkins was born in Akron and lived in Mogadore for 48 years. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, The Friend ship Group and Service Group.
Preceded in death by her husband, William H., she is survived by daughter, Dawn M. of Mogadore; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn A. and John R. Dyer of Mogadore; beloved granddaughter, Katrina M.; brother, Fred Jones of Tallmadge; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside service Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron, with Rev. David Herron of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., Akron, OH 44310. (Hopkins Lawver, Mogadore, 330-733-6271.) www.hopkinslawver.com

Mrs Hawkins will be remembered by Pam and I as a truly kind and gentle soul. I've known her for over 20 years and can only remember good things about her. I've never heard her yell or seen her in a foul mood. Dawn is one of my closest friends and carries on her mothers legacy well. There are few really good people in this world, we've been blessed to have known some of them. Our sincerest sympathy to the Hawkins family.

She was a part of my life for as long as I can remember. She had a warm heart,gentle spirit, and a twinkle in her eye that put all at ease. She opened her home to all of us, and it felt like home. Dawn and Lynn carry on her legacy well, and Katrina will surely do likewise. I'm gonna miss her, but I know she is looking down on all us with a smile.

She was truly a special lady whom I've known since I was just a child. I always felt warm and happy at her house - she would take care of me just as if I was her own daughter. I could always count on the best food at her home! Best of all, I saw how happy she was and what delight she took in her granddaughter, Katrina. A truly special person who has left a truly special legacy -- in her two daughters, Dawn & Lynn;son-in-law,John;and granddaughter,Katrina.
